Code of Conduct - “being on the right side”

Each of us is expected to be familiar with and comply with the applicable laws, rules and regulations, and with the standards that apply to our activities. If you have any questions about the expected standards, laws, rules and regulations that apply to you, talk to your Line Manager, Legal, or the People Team.
At the time you are hired, and periodically thereafter, you will be requested to acknowledge that you are aware of, understand and agree to comply with this Code and other policies.
Regardless of such acknowledgement, this Code and its provisions and other applicable policies, will be deemed to apply to you and you are asked to reflect on these principles in your daily work. Failure to comply with this Code, the policies and applicable laws and regulations will be viewed as a serious violation of your terms of employment and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

It is our top priority to serve a high ethical standard at Fasset, preserving a strong professional ethical culture. All of our work should embed the values of integrity, fairness and accountability.
We are entrusted by our customers and the community with their confidential information, important transactions and their financial assets. Therefore, it is essential that we operate with high standards of professionalism and trust to live up to their expectations.
To preserve the corporate image of Fasset it is vital that the business is conducted with the highest standard of professional ethics therefore all employees while performing their duties are expected to observe the guidelines as mentioned in this policy.
Conflict of Interest
Fasset employees are required to respect our Organisational Code of Conduct and to maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism in their business dealings and interactions.
The Employees are expected by the management to work in accordance and with the best interest of Fasset by performing their duties without prejudice. The employees are required to disclose any significant association or financial interest that they have with the organization or an individual involved in the transaction. The conflict of interest must be disclosed in writing and prior written approval should be obtained from Fasset.
If an employee anticipates a situation could pose a potential conflict of interest, the employee is required to identify that situation, declare the potential conflict, and remove himself from any associated decision-making. Failure to do so could form grounds for Disciplinary Action up to and including termination.
Representing Fasset
All employees acting on behalf of Fasset are limited by the policies and procedures set by Fasset, employees should never take decisions, sign any documents or authorise any actions on Fasset’s behalf unless authorised to do so.
Confidentiality
Trust is essential for the success of Fasset and confidentiality is the core of our business. We have a duty to protect all confidential information and shall never discuss it with third party or even internally unless it is required to do so. Confidential information may be in writing, on an electronic device, data storage system, in verbal form or in any other means.
All information related to the operations and functions of Fasset shall never be disclosed to the general public. If it is required to disclose any third party information we shall always seek approval in writing from Fasset management before proceeding. One shall always seek advice from the appropriate authority in Fasset before disclosing any information if in any doubt.
Confidentiality shall also be observed within Fasset, and we shall never disclose information about fellow employees, such as salary, increments, bonuses, or any other benefits. We should also refrain from disclosing information about areas of our expertise or departments within Fasset.
Personal and Related-Party Business Dealing
Any improper handling of your personal finance can lead to undermine Fassets and the employee’s credibility. The employee must not involve any fellow employee, customer or supplier with personal financial transactions. Employees must not indulge in any personal business activities while on the premises of Fasset, or use any facilities of Fasset, this includes all the electronic communication equipment or infrastructure.
When working for Fasset, employees should not maintain relations with the client for more than the official requirement unless it is required for the development of Fasset, and none should be given any undue preferential treatment.
All outside business activities which may include part-time employment are required to be approved by the management of Fasset and should only be considered once the approval is received from the management of Fasset.
Co-operation with Colleagues and Customers
All employees are obliged to treat all fellow employees and the customer with courtesy and always have a helping attitude to solve their problems.
Gifts and Entertainments
We are committed to serve our customers with the value of our products and services we offer, and not on gifts or offers we accept or extend. Employees should refrain from accepting any sort of monetary benefits, objectionable gifts, favours or bribes from the customers on behalf of Fasset.
Employees Entrusted With Company Funds
Prescribed procedures should be followed by the employees who have access to Fasset’s funds and are involved in handling, recording and protecting the money from any misuse.
The funds in no circumstances should be used for personal benefit and should only be used for the purpose of advancing Fasset. It is the responsibility of the employees that have access to Fasset’s funds to make sure that good value is received for the amounts that are spent on personal expenses that will be reimbursed by Fasset.
Personal Borrowing
Fasset does not approve the use of office premises for personal borrowing, lending of money between the employees is strictly not permitted as part of the financial discipline of Fasset.
