In line with the changing needs of business and to provide career development opportunities for the employee, Fasset’s training policy ensures to invest in developing the competence of its employees.

By ensuring that the employees are well equipped to meet their key responsibilities, result areas and career objectives, with the technical and managerial skills needed to perform their duties in a timely, effective and efficient manner, Fassetaims at achieving its business goals. To this end, Fassetis keen on providing learning and development opportunities, through undertaking different initiatives and utilizing learning providers, to its employees in a structured and effective manner, to meet employees’ professional and personal development and achieve higher levels of job satisfaction.

The objectives of the training and development initiatives are to:

•      Encourage and help Fasset’s employees to develop and improve their skills and competencies resulting in retaining good performers.

•      Develop the competencies of the employees to increase their personal value and enable them to perform better.

•      The investment in employee development and their professional and personal growth will help achieve the current and future manpower needs of Fassetand its future growth ambitions.

•      Improve the morale and job satisfaction rates of the employees and facilitate a positive employer-employee relations.

 

As part of its policy, Fasset maintains special focus for the training and development of UAE national employees to enhance and optimize their capabilities and to hold higher responsibilities (Please refer to “Emiratisation policy”)

Training

Fassetshall utilize its internal facilities to provide training and execute development initiatives as seen fit and efficient utilizinginternal expertise and external resources to meet its training needs. Fassetshall form an internal training team consisting of members from cross functional areas to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in delivery.

External Training Programs: 

External training programs are those which are conducted within the UAE and any other location suitable but not within the training facilities in Fasset and employees are nominated for these programs depending upon the requirements and recommendations based on the training requirements as identified through the individual training need analysis.

In‐house Training: 

In‐house training programs are conducted within Fasset’s training facilities and delivered either by internal or external trainers.

Online Training Programs and Assessment:

 Online training can be assigned either through self-nomination, which is when Fasset employees selects a specific course based on their development goals, or department-nomination is another method through which the department assigns a specific course to an employee. Some of the online classes include an assessment after completion of the material. Should the employee not achieve the required passing grade communicated at the beginning of the course, the course will not be marked as complete which will affect the employee’s development goals.

Training Planning

The People Department will identify potential training and establish an inventory of vendors and their availability based on the training needs analysis outcome. In addition, the HR Department will lead the planning exercise and the associated budgets in collaboration with Department Managers which will include the following, at a minimum:

Fast Track Career Development

Employees who are identified as high potential growth prospects are considered Fast Track employees (Fast Trackers). Each Division / Department may identify their best potential employees.
