The premier Blockchain and AI competition for Pakistani talent.

Fasset Blockchain Fest is a competition that gives Pakistani talent the platform to showcase their skills on an international stage. Participants will be mentored by global experts in the fields of Web3, blockchain and AI, and Fasset will provide them a chance to bring their idea to life.

The winning team will travel to Dubai to spend three weeks at Fasset HQ, where they will develop their idea into a proof of concept, and share it at GITEX - Future Blockchain Summit.

Why should you participate in Fasset Blockchain Fest?

Winners of the competition will:

  • Get a chance to visit Fasset HQ in Dubai for a period of 3 weeks. Travel, visa and accommodation cost will be borne by Fasset*.

  • Receive mentorship from leading experts in the fields of Web3, blockchain and AI during this period to convert their idea into a POC.

  • Get support from Fasset to bring their idea to life.

  • Showcase their idea to a global audience of 180,000+ people at GITEX - Future Blockchain Summit.

Participants who make it to Stage 2, but do not win the competition, can expect advice from a panel of experts on their idea and business plan.

What are the stages of the competition?

Stage 1 - Business plan submission

(27 Jun - 7 Aug)

Participants will submit their business plan through an online form. Team can comprise up to 4 persons max, and must demonstrate the use of blockchain and / or AI to solve a real world problem.

Stage 2 - Pitch

(15 Aug - 31 Aug)

Top 10 shortlisted ideas will have a chance to pitch their business plan to a panel of judges. Each pitch will be followed by Q&A and feedback from the judges.

Stage 3 - Finale

(30 Sep - 19 Oct)

The winning team will fly to Dubai to spend 3 weeks at Fasset Campus. During this period, they will work with mentors and leaders in the blockchain and AI space to transform their idea into a POC.

Stage 4 - Showcase

(14 Oct - 19 Oct)

The winning team will attend GITEX - Future Blockchain Summit to showcase their innovation on a global stage.

Teams will be judged based on the following criteria:

  • How novel and groundbreaking is the idea? Does it address a real-world problem in a fresh way?

  • What is the market size and growth potential for the AI or blockchain product/service.

  • How will the startup generate revenue?

  • What are the team’s skills and experience? How diverse is the team?

  • Have you considered how Fasset can help you scale your idea at a global stage?

Are there any other considerations?

Participating teams must have between 1 to 4 members (ideally with complementary backgrounds) with an idea to leverage blockchain and / or AI to address a real world problem. The theme for this year’s competition is ‘Unlocking financial ownership for women through the power of AI and blockchain’. Your solution should address the theme of the competition.

Submissions to enter the competition begin on 28th June 2024, and will close on 7th Aug 2024.
